Sigh! You don't try out for an audition, you have an auditon.
You find monolgues in plays. If you were ready for an audition, you wouldn't be asking this question. And so, given the assumptions I am making from your question, that you are very young and inexperienced, I am worried that your audition might be a scam. And, since I want to help youngsters avoid getting ripped off, would you write and tell me for whom you are auditioning and how you got the audition, thanks, Doc

Andy Griffths first monologue was the book of Matthew in the Bible. He made it funny without ever being disrespectful.

You should use Atticus' speech from to kill a mockingbird... When he's in the courthouse, defending the black man (I forgot his name)... he gives this great speech, i really like it. I'm sure it's not what you are looking for, but it's a really good one.
