I am getting my bachelor's degree at a liberal arts school, because I wasn't sure what area of theatre I wanted to work in. After three years, I have learned that performance and possibly directing are my strong points (I'm a terrible designer and an awful seamstress). BUT, because this is a liberal arts school, I will only be graduating with 2 acting classes, 2 directing classes, a voice and diction class, and a handfull of useless design classes under my belt. I am taking an internship this summer, but I feel incredibly ill-prepared and doubtful about my chances at getting into a good grad school with such minimal specialization on my resume. What can I do?

How do you portray this without going over the top? Just how subtle can it be between two characters walking on an empty darkened stage with only a warm spot? What body language would you use?

After a long hiatus from (very amateur) performing, I'm thinking about applying for auditions again. Many of the audition listings refer to an H/R. What is this? Thanks!

I want to become an actor but have no experience (having just graduated from University with an unrelated degree). I was wondering if I have to go to drama school in London as this would be a real drain on my finances, or whether I can just audition?

I've just graduated from University with an unrelated degree but have found that I really want to be an actor (film rather than theatre)- what would be the most straighforward route for me to take? I am from the UK.

Thanks!

- may or may not be comedy
- nothing too difficult acting-wise since cast is fairly weak

Also , that has connections and teaches me more about the buisness side. I've been acting for all of my life and have built up my resume on local theater and film. I know my type and have a good grasp of my range. I am just looking for really constructive suggestions.

This has been coming for a few weeks now, but I am a guy playing a guy in a play who is also playing a female role as part of the play. In the female role, I am both kissed by a guy and then meant to act like I am all dreamy LOL, and then I am meant to kiss him back. Now we are getting close to rehearsing these scenes. The other actor is a bit more experienced than me. But I am pretty nervous.

Has anyone done a same sex kiss on stage before (I guess technically it's not a same sex kiss, but I guess you know what I mean). Any advice for getting through the rehearsals and then the play would be appreciated.

What is so great about the freakin' Disney Channel? Am I missing something? Is this what they teach in high school drama these days: go audition for the Disney Channel? Aren't there community theatres or industrials you kids could be auditioning for, like everyone else? I don't get it.
