I would like to start writing a script for a potential TV series - any good resources on how to get started, how to compose a tight episode and develop characters, etc? Anything online or good books would be great - thanks!

Acting is a calling, rather like nursing or politics and those who do either just for the money feel cheapened and have low self-esteem when they rub up against the genuine article. How should we regard them?

I am directing community theater in New hampshire and I had found a dance choreographer on Craigs List but now she says she can not do it. Where do you think I should go to find another one. Auditions are in November and rehersals don't start till January. Show is in April. This is not a paid position as it is community theater.

In the song 'All that jazz' from the musical Chicago, they sing ''i'm going to rouge my knees, pull my stockings down''
why would you want to rouge your knees? why would it be attractive? is it supposed to make it look as though you've been on your knees, or something?

When I wake up, I can sing about 3 notes lower than usual, all the way to the last octave on the piano scale. Not only that, but my voice is much richer, thicker, and has a lot more timbre. Why does this happen and how can I harness this morning voice for the rest of the day?

Flashpoint Theatre Company out of Philadelphia is looking for a ETC Microvision light board/console or something that is comparable. Any idea where to look for a slightly used board or does anyone have this particular one? We would also consider a piece that is comparable to the ETC.

Thanks in advance!!

If one waits to start building an acting career at age 40 or so...are they just fooling themselves? That is, I have been told that the trouble I will have is that people my age will allready have many years of experience..so in other words..I have missed the boat. Although I feel that I'm not typical of most or all people of my age. But, I am serious about it, however it seem that it is too late.
