Right now I am living a big lie.... What's worse is I don't know if the one being affected most is me or my family. I don't know if being myself is worth potentially losing my family. But if I dont, I end up losing myself in the process.
Do you get me and are you going through something like this too?
How do you or would you go about it?

I'm not interested in stances, weather for or against. My question is what does morality have to do with what either biologicaly or psicologicaly appeals to you. Morals have to do with what is good or bad for society and how choices affect other peoples lifes. So if two conscenting adults 'choose' or 'are' gay, why is it a moral issue?

So far people seem content to out source our myths to off planet UFO sources.
No more underground or water based creatures, or home grown divergences from the tree of life.
Do you agree?

I read an article recently saying that in years to come there will be technology to cut up a deceased persons brain and scan it: effectively "downloading" the mind into the computer according to the article.

Now imagine a person named bob ok. He lives and he dies. They take his brain out of his head cut up and scan it to "download" his mind to the computer.

Would you still consider this thing in the machine to be bob? or just a copy that his experences in mind? and claims to be him? but the real bob died and all that his left is this computer that thinks its him.

The article insinuated that when your brain got scanned and made a replica of you in a computer that thing would be you yourself not a copy?

But does anyone else think that will merely be a replica? and not actually "you"?

Last year, as a symbol of my own hopes for our world and humanity, I bought a rosebush named, "Hope for Humanity", to symbolize this affirmation (or perhaps desire). Over the winter, it died, and now all that remains is its soil which serves as fertilizer for other potential life.

I question the state of our world and the state of humanity. And so I am asking all of you, "Is there Hope for Humanity"? Please offer your thoughts and ~Why~ you have come to your conclusions.

I think alot about things, in fact if your interested with this new idea i have, maybe you can click on my avatar and see my last question. Back to the subject, I have been thinking about the balance and nature and how people say humans disrupt this balance, but arent we also built into the balance of nature? Sure, you can argue that we mass produce our food, so we are constantly growing, no matter if there is a drought or famine. But i think that our minds are different so we would all polarize to different groups, and fight each other. I hear people say that they wish there could be world peace, but its part of nature, we are made to fight each other so we dont overproduce. Like in this video i saw about an island in the pacific. There is an airborne fungus that gets into almost ever species on the island and kills them. After the fungus kills them it spreads to the rest of the colony if its an ant. I found this fascinating because it was the balance of nature at its purest form.

Obviously behaviours such as suicide and infanticide are behaviours that cannot be explained, but on the whole does this sum up many of our actions?

Certainly women correcting their outward appearances in order to be more 'attractive' to a potential mate or males going on the pull etc all fit into this..
