Because sadness is an earthly feeling
Repentance & quest
for an eternal kingdom
could provide us with a sense
of hope,direction and purpose
but
wont abolish our sadness
and wont distract us from
the so-called-earthly-thing
since that earth is God's
testing ground for his immortals

i feel we are given this life here on earth to experience it, no matter where we have been before, or where we are going after, this should be our main focus for now, so yes we have sad times, and also happy ones
