if one day you were born, and that was it. no end, just a beginning. what would life be like? would our priorities and motivations be different? what would you personally do differently, if you genuinely believed you'd never die?

It says in the bible that god created the earth out of scratch, but it says nothing about the other planets. And the universe is huge there are more solar systems and things like that, so why would god "make" all that? why would he make planets without life form....just for the hell of it? it doesnt explain that in the bible so where do you think that actually came from?

Why do people find the moon so romantic?

And how does a lunar eclipse make it even more romantic?

Why are we on this planet? Do we as humans have a purpose or not? If so, what is that purpose?

Socrates believed that disobeying the laws destroyed the state. Rachels disagrees, suggesting that Socrates failed to distinguish the idea that one should normally obey the law from the idea that we must always obey the law. Assuming Rachels is correct, how does one determine the “rare exception” that calls for disobedience?

I need some arguments for a debate, I will be arguing that scientists CAN be trusted. Even small points could help.

I have 3-5 days left before I have to declare what my "graduation project" is going to be, and I can't think of how exactly to go about doing it. I know I want to do something dealing with philosophy. We have to write an 8-10 page paper, which obviously won't be a problem with philosophy; however, We also have to have a physical product to go along with it. This must:

-be student generated and should be based on the research paper.
-provide tangible evidence that reflects the “academic learning stretch” experienced by the student.
-be oriented around the performance of a skill, the production of a product, or the study of a profession
-i must also spend at least 15 hours outside of school doing it.

If anyone has ideas for a philosophy related 'physical product' I would greatly appreciate it. Also if you know of any books that would help me out on the paper, product, or general pursuit of philosophical knowledge that would be fantastic

i work as a gallery assistant at an art center and i recently saw an old professor of mine. we talked and i said how i got what i hoped for years ago. and she re-asked this question that i had in sculpting years ago. i've been thinking of it still and wondered what others would say. i know what i value now is sleep and beer. something i can actually afford to do these days and its great.

Answer honestly. What causes this slow reaction in the brain. When it comes to listening, learning, being attentive, I'm slow. Why? What's going on in my brain. I am greatly motivated so I work hard to get it right, but what causes this slow reaction. I'm tried of not getting things as quick as others do. Is it that they have more confidence than I do?

What can I do that is original and brilliant. I feel that the system takes that away from us by forcing us to follow the rules. College student.

Same thing. Learning things at a different pace. Still the same as slow.
