Because we are all, by design, naturally needy and fanatic.
Therefore there will always be competing interests among people, injustices caused in the pursuit of those interests and injustices caused in the attempt of remediating previous injustices.
The ONLY way for us to get along is if we all have a common enemy, common endeavour, common threat and need each and everyone to overcome it.

We can't get along because life isn't fair. The poor were born poor, the rich born rich, how can we see each others differences and not show jealousy or pity?

Well, some people like to force their beliefs on others. They want their religious mythology taught as science to our nation's school children. They want to tell a woman she cant have an abortion. They want to tell a person with terminal cancer that they dont have the right to take their own life. They want to stand in the way of stemcell research.
Who can get along with people like that? You? Certainly not me.

because alot of people are ignorant, inconsiderate,insensitive,disrespectful people...
Some people have the notion that they r better then others which casue social tension...hence why we cant all jus get along...
