Sit outside on a warm summer night with someone you love. Just you and them--no music, no other noise. Then you will see why it is considered so romantic.

Long before and up to now moon serve us a guiding for lovers to walk along the bay, beach or any serene places where two lovers expressed their loves from each other. It is the time where in the presence of moon people could be together during night time. That;s why it is romantic.
Lunar eclipse is an added attraction to them because of the color it depicts from the normal color to bloody moon. The color somehow adds flames to both lovers.
Have a nice day!

I don't know that an eclipse makes it more romantic, but...
A full moon changes the way everything looks, particularly if it's one that is low in the sky. It looks silvery, allows you to see different aspects of nature. It is "quieter" than sunshine, it is conducive to introspection, it creates soft shadows. Sunlight is activity, noisy, "fun", laughter and louder conversation.
We generally think of those activities that one does with the object of their affection as being in the evening or nighttime, after school, work etc. Moonlight softens features, illuminates skin and allows you to see your "love" in a flattering light. It is whispered conversations, touching, gentleness, sighing and feeling.

Dude,
It doesn't matter if YOU think the moons not romantic
....it only matters that SHE thinks it is.
OK fine if you must know.
It's because it's easier to misbehave under dim light than bright light. Got it?
Candlelight = Sexy
Bright Florescent Light = Not so sexy.
Lunar eclipse = even dimmer light.

Got me! I have never found the moon as something romantic. I have, however, thought of it as smelling and looking like swiss cheese...lol.
