Performing Arts

I am 17 and a junior in high school.
I have recently begun voice lessons. Recently meaning, I have only been taking them 1 month.
It is my dream to be a vocal major in college.
To do this I would have to audition in the spring semester of my senior year.
So I would have only been singing for a little over a year.
Is it possible for me to be a vocal major?

I've recently been learning how to play acoustic guitar. I've learned to play and sing drive, consequence, and i miss you from Incubus...and the ladies are LOVIN' it.

What are some other similar songs that i can play and sing? (nothing too hard)

The cool thing about incubus is that you dont have to have an amazing voice to make it sound good. Those are the kinds of songs im looking for.

Is it because they say 24 is just about too old to become a model, actress, singer, etc.? & I'm 24 & have none of these talents but would like to learn how to sing & get a record deal, lose weight so I can become a model, go to acting school, & many people say I'm too old & record companies will laugh in my face.

There seem to be a million of them. Also, some are for A clarinet and some are for Bb clarinet. I would assume that since the piece is in A, I would want an A clarinet, but I thought I'd ask.

So, which native transposition, and which publisher? This is for a music school, so I'd like it to be an authoritative copy. Thanks.

So by reading previous answers, I'm getting the idea that the wattage of an amp head is just how much wattage the amp head can send out. BUT, I was under the impression the head itself could send out a small amount of wattage, since most do still have the cabinet covers, but was I mistaken?

My friend, or rather I guy that I have feelings for, wants to learn guitar really bad. Lo and behold, his birthday is in about 2 weeks... and I wanted to get him a guitar. His older brother already agreed to go half and half with me on the cost....

So, here are the questions. (Since I don't really know what kind of guitar guys like... My own has stickers all over it and is a deep red color, and an Ibanez...)

I want to start a folk band but most of my friends all play guitar and nothing else. I play guitar, piano, drums, and I'm totally willing to learn a new instrument if needed.

I just need to know of some other folk band that isn't solely one guy playing the acoustic guitar and singing. I would love to hear some with piano, cause it's my favorite.

I have been playng guitar for about 2 years now and i have beary noticed that i dont really know how to play very well. Im the lead guitarist in my band and iahve noticed that i really dont move around the fretboard alot. I think my lack of scales is finally catching up to me!! can somebody help??and if you are going to start with that scale crap can you please explain in great detail in how to practice, understand and use them. It would be nice if i could know how you came to be such a good guitarist.

Hi, I want to buy my little sister (9yrs) a guitar. I've looked on ebay but I really don't know what brands or models to look for. I'm looking to get her something in the $60-$150 price range. I've seen some going for only $40...are those crappy or good enough? BTY, this would be her first guitar.
