I tried to start playing guitar and it looked like fun, but then I realized I couldn't do chords!!

I'm double jointed, so when I try to put my fingers on different frets, my hand craps out then all my fingers go straight.

My pinky collapses if I stretch it too far.

So am I screwed and can't play guitar at all?

Is playing the electric guitar hard? Do you need to learn how to play regular guitar in order to play electric? Plz and thank you!

hey guys. I love guitar. I had a teacher and now im off by myself. He didnt teach me any songs, and I was wondering if there are some very cool songs that have like 3-5 chords. I dont care if they are bar chords, power chords, or whatever. I'm sure there are some good ones. Thanks.

Am on holiday in Canada from UK next year, Don't want a guitarless fortnight! Don't like the Martin backpacker. Would love Ovation trekker but seem to be unavailable in UK, possibly out of production in US.

I have been playing euphonium on and off for 10 years. But I love oboe very much and am always interested to learn this instrument. I know oboe is hard to play, and I don't have much time to practise as I work full-time and have my postgrad studies.

Is it possible to start playing oboe as a beginner? Or I should stick to euphonium? How much time shall I commit to learn oboe? Thanks for your advice.

I just started my sophomore year of high school, and am serious about going into music. I've played piano for 11 years, and am currently studying with the top professor at a private university. Julliard is my ultimate goal, though I know it's a very difficult school to be admitted to. I know Juilliard doesn't look much into grades, and I would like to know of some other schools that look almost entirely at musical capabilities. I don't have the greatest GPA- a B, B+ average, my high points being foreign language, language arts, and music, my not-so-high points being math and science.
I am looking more specifically into performance, composition, and improv- but not jazz.
What can I do to up my chances of getting into a prestigious school like Juilliard? Are there similar-based schools? Also, I'd appreciate any advice and/or information on your personal experience.

Thank you so much!

Despite the scratchy quality of early 20th century recordings of Caruso, is his voice considered superior to Pavarotti's. And if so, in what ways?

A friend of mine and I wanted to do Duo Interpretation for Speech & Debate at school, and we're kinda stuck on ideas. It has to be school-appropriate and has to have some sort of relevance to society.

By the way, we are both girls.

We'd prefer something humorous, but any other good suggestions will work.

I'm kinda having a hard time narrowing my own internet search down. There's just so much out there!

I'm 17 and I will be auditioning for The Juilliard School for music (I play violin), but I've been feeling less confident about my upcoming audition. So would I be able to audition for "Pre-Juilliard" (whatever that is) instead?
