Am on holiday in Canada from UK next year, Don't want a guitarless fortnight! Don't like the Martin backpacker. Would love Ovation trekker but seem to be unavailable in UK, possibly out of production in US.

Why don't you go to Canada and see some of their guitars - there are some fantastic ones made there. One company is in La Patrie, Quebec, it absorbed one that I used to represent in the SE US. There is also a good one made in the Ontario province.

But if you are cool, you will cruise pawn shops and look for something good like a nice Gibson
