My sister Emily and I had anticipated summer vacation for a long time. Now that it was finally here, all the tiny pleasures of television and sleeping late had gone. Now that this had become part of our regular routine, everything seemed boring.
The afternoon sun was especially hot today, making me feel as if I were living in a desert rather than Louisiana.

Of course I can't give you all of it. I realize this is probebly boring to you but all I ask is that you tell me if you like my wording. Tell me if I give enough detail and if you have any way to makeit sound better please tell me. thank you!

Fun question. =)

Ongoing debate between my boyfriend and me. He thinks if you listen to it, then you can't say you've read it. =)

Or do you think that the books need to be setting a positive example for their readers?

I am looking for a new book to read. Some of the authors that I have read and liked are Chuck Palahniuk, Jeffrey Eugenides, Christopher Rice, and Nicholas Sparks. I would like a book that is similiar to what these authors write but I am also open to new authors.

Many adults would not voluntarily read a children's or Young Adult book. Some who do so for pleasure would never admit to it. Is this a situation that reflects the literary quality and standard of children's books or is it simply an prejudice people have that is based on ignorance?

Roman Polanski's 1971 version, The 1979 version starring Ian McKellan and Judi Dench, the 1983 version starring Nicol Williamson and Jane Lapotaire, the 1988 starring Gretta Scacchi... I know there are more including operas but I'm really just interested in which version brings the story to life and best represents the original ideas and themes as they were meant to be from Shakespeare's story. Thank you!

It was about a couple of sisters in London whose parents were always arguing and they essentially developed their own separate lives living upstairs which they called their flat. It was called something like 19A. It was written from the child perspective. Please help if you think you know the title or the author or more info!
