I read it a few years back. Absolutely fabulous! I took it with me everywhere to get through it. I read at traffic lights, in queues, anywhere. It was funny and sad and intriguing. I was so wound up in it that I found myself counting red cars and seeing if the good day hypothesis worked! 'Doing sex', funny. I haven't read any like it, I prefer biographies to novels for the most part but this was just brilliant. Well written and hugely engrossing. It is supposedly a young person's book but my copy has circulated through most of the people I know and all enjoyed it immensely.

I read it two years ago and found it similarly brilliant. I was amazed, and sympathetic the same time the book brought me into the world of an autistic boy. I was thoroughly fascinated by his thoughts and what is going through in his mind on every occasion. My soul really moved along the story with him. Whats amazing is his special talent in maths, and i love the three doors probability question! hmm! 5 stars. Simple read but absoluteely amazing.

A very insightful look into the world of " autism": both from the perspective of the child afflicted with this condition and the stresses this places on the parents. As a teacher who has frequent contact with students suffering from various degrees of this condition, it is a good reminder of what daily life is like for these children.
