Here are 2 short thrillers (around 200 pages each) very well written that should captivate your interest enough that you just may not put it down until the end since they're not really that long. FYI after reading them, I noticed both have excellent reviews and are highly rated by AMAZON readers.
1. RED KAYAK by Priscilla Cummings.
2. HOPE WAS HERE by Joan Bauer.
ENJOY!!!

Trixie Belden by Julie Campbell (Bks 1-6) and Kathryn Kenny (Bks 7 and above). It's a wonderful detective story! Lots of humour and thrilling suspense too. I LOVE the series, hope you will too! =)

Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, Stuart Woods, James Patterson. (I have read almost all the books these guys have written) Envy by Sandra Brown is another really good one.

I like J.D. Robb, intrigue, fiction and thrilling. I just finished reading one called " Born in Death" and I could not put it down. My husband finally said enough around 2 in the morning and had to pry it out of my hands.

someone up there said lincoln child and douglas preston and i agree but start with:
relic
reliquary
cabinet of curiocities
still life with crows
in that order. the books they write together are great, the ones they write on their own aren't as good in my opinion, the writing style suffers somehow.
good luck! happy reading!

Well, we have a boatload of reviews posted on our website if you like speculative literature. Many of the books are small press or independent authors.
