I have to go with The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, although I'm a big Harry Potter fan too. I was also really into Piers Anthony's Xanth series when I was younger.

the summer tree trilogy by guy gavriel kay. nothing has been able to replace it yet for pure impact and beauty. the closest would have been the first shannara books (terry brooks) when i first read them, tho they did not fare so well on the 2nd reading, i guess i was old enough by then to see how much they ripped off from other stories, tolkien for example, but they are still fantastic.
