I am looking for a new book to read. Some of the authors that I have read and liked are Chuck Palahniuk, Jeffrey Eugenides, Christopher Rice, and Nicholas Sparks. I would like a book that is similiar to what these authors write but I am also open to new authors.

You don't state your age, but if you like video games and skateboarding I would suggest GAMEPLAYER: The Genesis Portal by Gary Anderson.

GAMEPLAYER is for readers 12 through 18. It follows the adventures of Nine-dog, Gator and Louie; three racially diverse buddies growing up in the skateboarding, video gaming obsessed Santa Monica, California beach life-style. Their lives revolve around school, skateboarding and video gaming until a bizarre encounter with a run amuck video game propels them into a deadly world of terror, murder and intrigue.

Yes, I am the author and I think it is a book that you will enjoy.
Gary Anderson

Did you read "The Secret History" by Donna Tartt? How about "The Crimson Petal and the White" by Michel Faber? I can't say I'm a huge Plahniuk fan (I read "Fight Club" and "Choke"), but I really liked Euginides' "Middlesex."

P.S. I've reviewed all of the above and other books on Amazon's web-site under the nickname "trainreader" if you're interested.
