I hear a lot about e-books. What makes e-publishing so different from regular publishing? Is it true that authors who can't get published anywhere else can get published this way?

How does this sound for a action/adventure type novel?

An ex-CIA agent learns that the city of New York will be wiped from the map in 3 days. To try to stop it, he reunites 8 other ex-CIA agents who have not seen each other in years, who lost their jobs in a intel leak that rocked the Agency a few years prior. Along with a few others, they will have to stop the worst terrorist attack in the United States' history. But how can they stop it when they become the suspects themselves?

I am going to barnes and nobles today and I want to buy a few books. I am out of books to read. I like Books like Twilight & new Moon by stephenie meyer,Invisible My Pete hautman,and sarah dessen books.
So basically anything depressing but not a bore, compelling.. page turner makes you predict and think, or those love sickening forbiddendark romance [twilight].

alright i have a story going and i have three names and there all the frist names they are
1.Zavier
2.Chip
3.Drogo
now zavier is a crusified demon so i need a good last name for him and Chip is a detective that just gets caught at the wrong time so i just need a casual last name for him and Drogo is a mass serial killer who every one thinks is dead but isnt i need a sadistic last name for him...help if you can thnx
