How does this sound for a action/adventure type novel?

An ex-CIA agent learns that the city of New York will be wiped from the map in 3 days. To try to stop it, he reunites 8 other ex-CIA agents who have not seen each other in years, who lost their jobs in a intel leak that rocked the Agency a few years prior. Along with a few others, they will have to stop the worst terrorist attack in the United States' history. But how can they stop it when they become the suspects themselves?

It sounds very action-packed and would definitely have a large audience. Mostly male - my husband would certainly get into it.

However it's been done to death - I'd suggest adding a great twist of some sort, toss something quirky and unexpected into the mix. The best books and movies are those that trick the audience into thinking they are experiencing something they've already experienced and then SHOCKING them with something unique.

Best of luck!

Plot sounds good, but 8 is a little high. When it comes to novels, if you have too many main characters, it can become confusing.
Now, all writing rules are made to be broken, but if you're gonna do it, you gotta be sure you can do it well. If you're still learning or trying something new, or basically not an expert, I'd take it down a few people.

Sounds good, except that the number of characters may cause confusion. Try to combine a few of the characters' traits into a singular character. Maybe three or four ex-agents would be easier to follow.

Good ideas little bit more detail then you'll be ready . It sounds very interesting and I hope you do decide to publish it . It really would go better as a movie . I guess because of the way your setting is introduced.

Sounds really good...make one or two ex-agents an ex-girlfriend/wife of another, i.e. love interest and you draw women into the story more...especially if it goes to film....larger audience for book and movies..xx

It sounds like Nelson de Mille already wrote it. He called it Wildfire only it was SF and LA - not NYC. Pax - C.

Don't listen to them. Three days is enough. You will write every word, every breath, every drop of sweat. More intense flavors make a better meal.

Three days is not enough for plot development. keep at it, though.
