People didn't like each other, so they fought. People got killed. It was sad. They didn't learn from it, so they did it again later.

On 28 June 1914, Gavrilo Princip, a Bosnian Serb student, shot and killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife, Sophie Chotek, in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia, which had been annexed by Austria-Hungary in 1908. It started a war. Many people died. We didnt learn anything from it so we had a do-over and called it WW2 - now we are getting ready to try again. Only this time, we're moving the playing field farther south. Pax - C.
