What Novel (book) can you recommend that is intriguing to read can be anything from romance to horror but is easy enough to follow for a fourteen year old. After reading the Lovely Bones book by Alice Sebold I wish to read more novels like this. Any ideas of ones you can recommend?
Thanks.

Beloved has to be one of my favorite books of all time. It's tragic but also full of emotion.

So, does anyone have a favorite part in the novel? And why it was their favorite? And also, do you have a least favorite scene in the novel? And why was it your least favorite?

Thanks.

I've been browsing the web looking for some books on creative writing techniques, but I really couldn't decide what to get. I was wondering if you guys could maybe suggest some that you really enjoyed and/or thought were helpful?

I want to become fluent in Spanish; right now I'm at about level 5, so I'm rather advanced. However, I want to read some relatively easy-read books in Spanish, and I want to read a GOOD book so I'll actually read it. I'm 22 years old, so I don't want to read children's or teen books. Any suggestions?

I read it approximately twelve years ago when I was in elementary school. It might have been a kids' or young adult book, but maybe not. It was set hundreds or thousands of years in the future and was about the inhabitants of Earth discovering the ruins of an ancient civilization, which happened to be our twentieth century world. It was illustrated and a lot of the scenes were the characters discovering objects we see everyday (like CD players or soda cans or lightbulbs) and trying to figure out what they were used for. Just wondering if anyone else remembered such a book, and if so, if they knew its name and/or author. Any help is much appreciated!

I am an Academic Assistant at Birzeit University in the West Bank, writing on behalf of the chairperson of the English department, who would love to get in touch with the author Alice Walker. How can we contact Alice Walker? Does she have an e-mail or an online discussion group?

I am looking for a time travel novel that is as accurate in observation as Audrey Niffenegger's (which is to date, the best that I have read). I have already read of course Time Ships and The Time Machine. Thank you all in advance

Divorce

Caught in the whirlwind
Nothing could have prepared me for this
Back and forth yet never forward

Tired but restless
Bored yet amused
My mind plays the scattered images

Bittersweet
Painful memories
New experiences

You are one mystery
I will surely never solve

Someone wrote this for me once... I have allways loved it...

I'm lonely and empty
Just sad all around
I beg and I pray
to just hear the sound
of your voice and your laughter
the feel of your touch
your smile is beautiful
Damn!
I miss you so much.

Those mist covered mountain tops
how they bellow for me
as I sit here in the middle of nowhere
I debate if I should respond

Across a long cold river
the trees are dancing
and who cares
when noise is sometimes silent

And those mist covered mountain tops
showing me another land
and as I turn and look away
they cry out once again.
