This is an older book, my guess is it was as famous as "I am The Cheese" and "The Chocolate War" I have read it 20 year ago, I can't remember the title, please help.

I am goign with Too Young to Die by Lurlene McDaniel. She has a bunch more of these books now and even continued into a series the book that Sandy was in.

Did it have something to do with cancer?I read one called Too young to die about a girl who has cancer and she meets a girl named Sandy who was from the south who was also sick.
