- What should be done to ensure that such questions are posted under the appropriate category, - Homework? We may unwittingly, weaken the students efforts and defeat the teaching and research profession by giving answers to assigned homework readings!!

Just finished it and the characters are so compelling I am hoping for a sequel. Many questions were left unanswered also.

I am not a big reader and really enjoyed this book. True story about an ATF agent who goes deep undercover in the Mongols motorcycle gang. If you haven't read it, I recommend it! Now for those of you who have read it, do you know of any other books which are similar that may keep my attention. Like I said I am not a big reader, and I'm not really interested in fiction.

My question is related to the extract of "Shadowmancer" which I am working with my grade 7 students. The extract in the beginning mentions the character of Lord Finnesterre and it also says that the kids (Kate, Thomas & Raphah) come to the house of a manor. Now my question is what is the connection / relation of manor of the house, Lord Finnesterre and Obadiah Demurrel to each other. Can anyone please explain, I have to explain this to my students. I've recently finished the first three books of The Vampire Chronicles and I'm looking to take a break from the vampire genre. I like Anne Rice because her books are character-driven and full of sensory detail -- you feel like you're right there with the characters, in their world. Could you recommend some similar books? By similar I don't just mean "vampire" books. I mean quality, clever; a book that doesn't treat the reader as if they're stupid. :) Thanks!

Trying to figure out which Richard Scarry books had the characters Schtumpa (a bear playing a tuba) and Frau Washer Woman (I believe it was a cat, doing laundry). My wife loved the book they were in as a kid, and I thought it'd be a cute birthday present if I could find a copy for her in good condition, but she has no idea which of Scarry's 300+ books they're in. Anyone have an idea?
