My question is related to the extract of "Shadowmancer" which I am working with my grade 7 students. The extract in the beginning mentions the character of Lord Finnesterre and it also says that the kids (Kate, Thomas & Raphah) come to the house of a manor. Now my question is what is the connection / relation of manor of the house, Lord Finnesterre and Obadiah Demurrel to each other. Can anyone please explain, I have to explain this to my students. I appreciate your this help. Thank you.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the house of a manor"-- a manor house? That's a type of house, a country house of a wealthy family, usually.

I haven't read the book so I can't be more specific.
