Recommand a book?

Question

can anyone recommand good biography's or auto-Biographys about successeful women in any kind of business (real estate, fashion, music... anything) ??? I'd prefere to avoid reading about successful models, actresses and singers. Im taking about business women not entertaintment women. Thanks!!!!

I'd recommend something Oprah. She's got her own businesses and is definitely one of the most successful people. And she's usually seen as an inspiration. Thing is she has a very good story so you might want to check her out on that.

If you want to read a fictional book about a successful woman, then maybe check out The Devil Wears Prada.

I don't know many biographies of businesswomen. Try checking the library or your local bookstore.

Katharine Graham's memoir "Personal History" is a keeper. She is described as one of the most powerful and intelligent American women of the 20th century. She was in the journalsm industry, leading the Washington Post during its heyday in covering the Watergate scandal. Under her leadership, the impressive articles printed ultimately lead to Nixon's resignation. If you want to read about a strong, successful, and fascinating woman, read "Personal History."

I really enjoyed Norma Khouri's book "Honor Lost" it makes you aware of the problems toward women in Jordan, the main character goes against tradition and stands up for herself. (Its a true story) Another good book is "Zoya's story" (True) this is about an Afghan woman's fight for freedom. Now i don't know if "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert is good because i never read it but i read the back of it and it sounds good, its a new release.
