It's been a while since I've read Stephen King, however my favourite books include 'Misery', 'Thinner' which was written under Richard Bachman, 'Bag of Bones' and 'Needful things'. I used to like how all the characters were linked from one novel to another.

The Mirror. I did not realize when I started to read it that Stephen King wrote the book. It is a very good read, and very unusual.

Why is it than whenever someone asks this question (which many people do) that not many people say Misery. Being a writer, this book scared me and kept me up all night (cliche) more than any of his other stuff.
I don't think there has ever been such a memorable baddie literature since Annie Wilkes.
Top book from a top author, writers can learn from King's style.

Salem's Lot. I practically know it by heart, and I read it every fall, just before I re-read Dracula.
