I love reading and am noticing I really haven't read any the the great American (or otherwise) classics. I'm motivated by this thought and am wondering which ones to start with. im in 6th grade and i have a very high reading level. lets just say highschool-ish. i like to read books that involve sex, drugs, alchohal, and reality things. i need to find a book for school that will give me points for my WARP test. for those who dont know what WARP is, its a requireed test in the school library that you take after you read a book a gives you points.

the poem consists of 2 stanzas with 4 lines in each. i dont get the foot in this poem. is it one unstressed syllable followed by a stressed and so on? cause when i tried some lines have 3 some have 3.5 some have 4? can u help

"white elephants" usually means bad luck. Btw the story is about a guy and a girl and they arent married but they are boyfriend and girlfriend. He got her pregnant and he wants her to have an abortion. She doesnt really want to have one. pretty weird story but PLEASSSSSSE help. i have to write this by tomorrow and i have tons of other hw. thanks :|

I am only on page 11 because I had to keep on reading certain paragraphs over again. He talks about vibrations, subatomic particles, and one consciousness that fills every plane of existence. I am lost and getting frustrated with the book!.I understand about karma and astral planes but I was wondering if anyone already read the book and can tell me if it gets a little easier to grasp.

she's sorta a shy person, not really, but not outgoing, i want to buy her books, but she literally has like every book that comes out recently cause she buys a ton of books from barnes and noble every week, and she has like a $200 b & n giftcard

got any ideas for something that isn't a giftcard, any birthday present ideas? (i wanted to buy her itunes giftcard, but my friend was already buying it for her)

My story is set in the the year is 1838, England.
Anne tries to end her life of prostitution by attempting suicide. But, she is rescued by a gentleman, named, Edward. His sister has a secret, and that secret leads her to offer Charlotte a life with her. Charlotte slowly begins to fall for Edward. BUT though he falls for her as well, he values his popularity amongst his friends, more than his growing affection for her -- as to love her would mean to lose the friendship of his friends, who all dislike her. Charlotte tries to become a lady, but society suppresses her.
My story is a gothic-like romance (kind of like Wuthering Heights--NOT that I'm going to copy this story!)

At the moment, I'm thinking of the title:
-Vermillion (I rlly like this one, but it sounds unsuitable for a dark romance...)
-The Nonentity
-Far from Sanity
-The House of Ill-Fame
-Lady of the Night (this title sounds like the title of some corny romance. Doesn't it?)


Any better suggestions??
