I'll finish it, because I spent my hard earned money on this piece of garbage. Thank goodness I am almost finished with the over-rated trash. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Indeed. His other book with Robert Langdon, Angels and Demons, was much better. The only reason the DaVinci Code was so popular was because it's so controversial. Not only does it deal with the darker side of Catholocism, but it addresses women within the Christian church...something most White Western Christians are afraid to do. (God forbid those women get any ideas...)

The idea is good. The points are good. The writing sucks. It seemed like he wanted the character to be like Indiana Jones without the braun--jut brains.

YES!!! I read it because My friends made me because I was going to Paris, but I was unimpressed. The storyline was good, and it was defniitely a page-turner, but it was written on the 3rd grade level, I swear. The writing itself was horrid. THIS is why I know none of his other books will be good either. It's not the book itself, the subject matter was fascniating, but the writing was TERRIBLE (and i'm sure he writes the same in all of his novels)

I was pretty impressed with the way he brought out the facts but the ending SUCKED!!!! I felt very let down. Angels and Demons is a much better book.

Yes, I do feel the same way you do. I hated the book and could not bear to read it. I tried, but it stunk. The movie, I had to sit through because my daughter's boyfriend payed our way to go see it, which I didn't really want to do, but it was my first time meeting him, so I had to be polite. It was painful having to sit through that hyped-up junk they called a movie. I ate junk food after junk food trying to occupy & entertain myself through one of the most drawn out, boring, ridiculous things I have ever seen.

I hated the ending. it fizzled so horribly. I like Digital Fortress and Angles and Demons much better.

Holy Blood, Holy Grail is a much better book.

Dan Brown just copied the idea and wrote a somewhat boring story.

I don't like the book . It's a remix of books previously published

It's a page turner, for sure. But when I got the facts right, damn, it's not so good anymore.

It got my vote for the most overrated movie of the 21st century.
