It is very true that poetry is not very marketable. It's not impossible to get paid for poetry, but it's incredibly, excruciatingly difficult and unlikely. If it's something you believe yourself to have a talent for, though, then it doesn't hurt to try.

For some publishing tips from an actual published poet, you can visit this site where she has some straight forward advice.

If you are writing poems to make money- stop. Go into business or get a business degree. Poetry is meant to be from the heart, not for the money.

Thinking that you can just make money from poetry shows that you do not know enough about the market for poetry. Look into how the market is moving, what types of work are selling, and the acceptance rate of publishers.

If you think you'll make money writing poems for people and that they'll buy them up and leave you with requests for more, it's time to get real. Of course a few people will do that to show support, but the real world is a lot different.

Also, you have a few grammatical errors in your question, which leads me to believe that you are not ready to even consider publication. There is a saying that perfect practice makes perfect performance. Writing on the Internet is practice, so make the most of it.

You can enter your poetry in contests for prize money. Many contests sponsored by literary periodicals will publish your work in their collections.

Also, you can submit a body of your work to a publishing house for publishing consideration.
