i really need help w/ my poem. i dunno much stuff about pro poems. i'm just 12!

She’s just leaning over there,
Alone in the crowd,
As they keep on pushing her around.
As always, like there was no end of Earth

‘It hurts so bad’ she whispers.
'They treat me like I was bron without feelings.'

Maybe she doubt her too much.
She had noone to be with,
Because she never had the courage
To speak up for herself.

‘Why me?’

They never payed any respect
She deserved.
She always cared
But they never did.

Inside she’s crying,
Outside she’s smiling,
Like nothing’s happening.
But there was a lot going on.

‘Will they understand?’

Maybe she doubt her too much.
She had noone to be with
Because she never had the courage
To speak up for herself.

She thinks there’s no point to live.
But there is,
Maybe she just had to look for it.
And she goes off, not knowing what will happen.

‘I guess it’s this hard.’

I'm doing a project about Homer for my AP English class.

I need to talk about his writing style, and according to online sources he wrote in Dactylic Hexameter. I've looked at several websites about this, but I just don't seem to understand. I know it's something about feet, unstressed and stressed syllables...but...I have no idea what all that really means and it really is...

Could anyone explain dactylic hexameter to me?

Thanks to anyone who tries.

Mine would have to be the Wayside School stories by Louis Sacher and Calvin and Hobbes and also anything by Poe. I became obsessed with him in 3rd grade.

What were your favorites?

Young girl and her family are abducted by Indians and forced to march through the woods. Upon arriving at the camp they must pass through a guantlet. Eventually the young girl escapes to the city- I want to say Paris but could be something like Boston- and becomes a seamstress. While there she finds her older sister.

I remember in elementary school - our librarian told us this crazy story about how he was obsessed with organizing books. Anyone heard or read anything like this?

Prisoner

Gently stepping in this world
Hesitantly and unsure

Getting caught up in the storm

Dispersed and tired lying on the ground
By the rough sea

Stuck on an arid land
Prisoner in the shallow crowd

Struggling with the inner self
At conflict with the self and with the crowd
Separated from the crowd by a wall
Not alone in isolation but isolated in a crowd

Attempting to define oneself time and time again
In disappointment crying out in the rain

Trapped in a crowd yet free in the mind
The real self trying to find
The confidence we left somewhere behind

Storm

Lying down on darkness
Sitting still in a storm
The wind blowing away my stillness

Darkness my only sight
Shall the storm move away the dark
So I might hope for a light of insight?

Calmly lying down in a storm
My stillness only an illusion and a norm
My calm blown away by the wind

My calm and my restlessness
My illusion of quietness
Lying restless in the storm

Restlessly calm in a dark storm
My illusions of belonging to the norm
Blown away by the gentle wind

Don't get me wrong, I love the books. Been reading them ever since waaay back before the fandom started. I love Harry Potter. Period.

But I also love depressing stories that tear up my heart beyond repair. So I want him to die. TT.TT Anybody else want him to die?
