I have two..........One childrens and one adults
The first harry potter book, is one of my favourite. I read the book as book 4 was being released and wanted to know what all the hype was about. I brought it, and the next day I went out and brought the next two. Mind you i love the second one two when harry recives the map.......and when snape is trying to get the map to work and it tells him to keep his nose out of it and insults him, i cracked up laughing. In fact I'm just going to say all the harry potter books.
One of my favourite books for adults is Gone with the Wind. Since I live in Australia and only ever knew a small amount about, the american civil war. I learnt a bit more by reading this book , about the history of America. E.g. I learnt where it was fought, who some of the main people involved were, etc, etc.... I loved the character Scarlett. She was so passionate in what she wanted, and never gave up. She was an inspiraton. As for Rhett, everybody loves a bad boy, and he was it. At the end of the book as he.......Frankly, I don't give a damn.......... That was my favourite sentence....,,those six little words show ,that you don't always get what you want!!!!

"the power of one". It's so moving....you can't put the book down. After seeing the movie, it gets me wanting to read the book even more. I love the characters...they're so original and each scene in the book wants you to keep reading on...just so you can find out what happens next. The book really teaches you about how much we take for granted.

I have so many favorite books. But the one I recommend to read is Phantom by Susan Kay. It's about the Phantom of the Opera before he became the Phantom. Really good book, very sad.

My favourite author was Sidney Sheldon. My very first book of his was 'Rage of Angels" and it was that book which got me totally into his books and everything. His way of writting was totally one of a kind.It was simply unique. It was not like the other authors whom I've read before. His foreign and native language used in his books was other factor that shone him through. He's truly a marvellous and flawless author. His death is a real great loss to readers all over the world. It's still hard to believe that he's dead. But he always remain alive in my heart.

This is the hardest question for me. How to pick just one. I could tell you my favorite authors but to pick just one book I don't think I can. My favorite author is Stephen King. His imagery just puts you right in the middle of the scariest stuff. Gives me chills just to think about it. Favorite book by him would be The Dark Tower series. Told you I could not pick just one book. If I am in the mood for romance I head straight to Nora Roberts. She writes about love the way Stephen King writes about horror. When you read her books you will have a movie playing in your head. It is just great.Don't go to movies much, I just pick up a good book and who knows where I will go.

The Bible, it is the word of God.
Other than that, I would Say, BFG (Big Friendly Giant) by Ronald Dahl, because it was one of the first books I remember reading as a child.
