I have a paperback book whose spine is coming loose--that is, the pages are falling away from the spine. Does anyone know of the best type of glue to use to glue the pages back to the spine that will not damage the pages? Specific links to products or name[s] of products is what I am looking for.

Thanks!!

Ok, I have an assignment in my writing class that I need a little help with. We have to re-write a classical christmas story as our own. I can't think of a good story I want to write about. The only ones I can think of are "Christmas Carol" and "Gift of the Magi" Can you guys name any more for me and briefly describe the story in case I've never heard of it? Thanks

I'm from Russia, originally Russian, but write in English (which I've also been speaking all my life) and constantly "publish" my stuff on poetry sites. Making a small book to publish in my hometown right now, but would like to see if there are options to get published in an English-speaking country.

I'm looking for a book I read many many years ago as a pre-teen probably about 30 years ago. Ugh! I believe there was a frog or toad and some other animals who traveled across the land in various forms of transportation, one of which was a hot air balloon. It isn't Wind in the Willows, which I also read many times. Does anyone have any idea what this book might be? Any help is appreciated! :)

I'd like to give my rebellious teen niece a book she can relate to and hopefully steer her away from all the bad decisions she's been making lately.
Greatly appreciate it guys.

What are typical stereotypes of people who are good writers. I hear that they are very introverted and not very well spoken. But if you're a good writer, doesn't that mean you're very articulate?

Lion Witch Wardrobe question for son school?
My son has a crossword puzzle with this clue:
A "frozen" victim of White Witch

The answer is 6 letters long and this the only letters we have so far:

__ __ a __ __ e

Not sure all the letters are right but the rest of the puzzle fits.

I couldn't find anything online and he has completed the rest of the puzzle with no problem.

Anyone with any ideas please post. He's frustrated and did so well on the rest, I'd hate for him to not get this one answer.

(It's from Teacher Created Materials, Inc. 1989 #363 Literature & Critical Thinking, Book 9)
