Whats your favorite book? Im looking for a new good read

If you have an idea for a movie (i mean an actual new movie, not some daft idea or existing movie re-hash) who do you go to to discuss it / is there anybody to talk to about these things?

I do a bit of writing but i write in the movie style (script) rather than a novel style, and therefore find it hard to get published.

The concepts / storylines are good (recognised as such by the publishers) but are in the wrong format for a book, yet ideal for a movie.

Does anybody out there know of a place that accepts new scripts; or better still a place where the concept could be discussed with 'an actual person'??

Didn't know about it until I checked out wikipedia. Her books are really awesome, the "Adrian Mole" series in particular. Is she totally blind and what does "registered blind" mean"? Thanks.

I read it back in school during the 1980`s.It concerned a semi-devine hero who had one golden arm and his companion who was a "twice-born" something that rendered him immortal. All I can remember is that it featured stonehenge and seemed to have it`s inspitaion in British and Irish Celtic myth as well as the Norse sagas.

Also, what are their titles? My younger brother's deadlining a final paper on them and realized he left his notes on campus, so any information would be incalculably appreciated.

The Props assist the House
by Emily Dickinson

The Props assist the House
Until the House is built
And then the Props withdraw
And adequate, erect,
The House support itself
And cease to recollect
The Auger and the Carpenter—
Just such a retrospect
Hath the perfected Life—
A past of Plank and Nail
And slowness—then the Scaffolds drop
Affirming it a Soul.

I remember when I was in elementary school (in the 90's), they read us many books. One of them was a collection of poetries (I think by a Black male author but I could be wrong) about funny, crazy things. The book was rather thick, purely black and white and I think on the cover it had a cliff on it. I'm not sure if it came out at that time
