Presently I've bought some old hardbacks to read and collect and most of them are not clean, that is, they were read and had passed various situations since 80-100 years ago. Is it all right to wipe them with warm water and let them dry?

I'm entering the National Novel Writing Month thing, so I have 29 days and a few hours to write a 50,000 word novel. I just want some creative,\ but CLEAN ideas to get me started. Three somethings that slingshots the imagination into action Such as? A dog in a dress, the Pea Patch Festival and Kevin Yak--the little boy that couldn't. Thanks!

more books of this nature for me?
P.S. I know that the titles of books should be underlined, and not identified in quotation marks, however, Yahoo! does not have this feature.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Well, since I live in the country and there aren't many people around to ask about personal books ideas, I thought I'd try here. I have an idea for a novel. The main character is a Senior named Benjamin who is pretty rich, has an absent father, dead mother and no friends (but doesn't want any at all because people annoy him.) He meets and over the course of a year befriends a boy who is his exact opposite named Arian. Benjamin has a crush on a girl named Taylor, is stalked by a girl named Madison, and is kissed by Arian's brother Christopher (all funny stories, of course). At the climax of the story, Arian is hospitalized for heart complications and is revealed to have once been unpopular and fat. He lost weight, became popular but when his father died he became anorexic, thus causing heart problems and evolved into a positive outlook on life. Would you read it?

I came across this book once about a rock climber who got stuck in a crevice (or under a rock, I'm not sure), and I don't remember the title.

One of his hands was stuck, and I think he cut it off and survived. Anyone read it before?

I just created a user account to join in the fun, but the site is either glitched or terribly slow, if not-is there some setting issue on my computer that I need to be aware of? To all of you that is doing this, good luck!

To a story...and don't you dare steal it! lol

Once more, The Genesis blazed through the voids of space. It was a magnificent ship, and somehow the recently acquired scars it bore only added to its presence. Other than its greater size, its design did not greatly differ from those of other Imperial starships. It was oblong, and looked rather like an ancient naval battleship, with spires and turrets positioned at random throughout its exterior. It was, despite its mass and powerful bearing, a rather graceful and eloquent ship. The red insignia along its flanks was freshly engraved and shone. The ship’s presence had a chilling effect.

-Just think, when this is published you can tell everyone you knew it in its beginnings. I'm serious.

I have written four crime fiction stories. I would like to find someone to check them for grammatical accuracy, but I am not sure how to go about finding that. I want to get these published, but I need a little help. They were written while I was in high school, but I am hoping to improve them.

My heart is black and oh so empty . . . lifeless.
Slowly, I creep to my death.
Wishing it was near.
All is neverending hopelessness.

Never will I be a happy soul.
Every way I go is always wrong.

yes I wrote it .
