I just created a user account to join in the fun, but the site is either glitched or terribly slow, if not-is there some setting issue on my computer that I need to be aware of? To all of you that is doing this, good luck!

I'm participating in Nano, too! Yes, the problem is the huge amount of traffic. I noticed that Nanowrimo is featured on the front of the Yahoo home page as well, so I'm sure that has increased traffic to the site. You just have to be patient, basically. Their technicians are working on it. That's what I've seen from Nano. Good luck!!

I am glad to hear that someone else is having the same login issues that I am with the site. It is super slow

Yes, I've had some trouble too lately. I think since it's the beginning of the month everyone is on it and slowing it down.
