I really like mysteries. I also like historical fiction - especially when the writer blends real events and people with the fictional characters. The combo of historical mysteries is the ultimate novel genre for me.

In my opinion... Science Fiction. It can incorporate almost any other genre within it... romance, espionage, action, adventure, fantasy, sex... even many elements of the western can be incorporated within this all encompassing genre with the added bonus of the freedom afforded by a speculative format.
