In the second answer you have received, the suggestion to copyright your idea is valid. One inexpensive way to demonstrate the date of your idea is to write it down as completely as possible and to mail it to yourself, with a good seal on the envelope.

When you receive your own letter DO NOT OPEN IT. Put it away in a safe place. The postmark is a proof of date of your idea.

Write it yourself and you don't have to be concerned with someone stealing your idea.
