Since the composer Maurice Ravel passed away in 1937, the next year (2008) his music should fall in the public domain (the standard rule of copyrights is that a work falls in the public domain after 70 years from the author's death), but it's unclear if Maurice Ravel's works have some sort of tie with other copyright holders... anyone can help me to find this out?

Thanks in advance.

what a wonderful world it would be if everybody took their own problem and found the answer to it and spent the rest of their life helping people with the same problem in their spare time. my problems are the same or similar to your problems. i'll share my answers with you and you share your answers with someone else and we'll all have an easier time.

Is it something that is in the physical matter of the universe, the rule of cause and effect? For instance, we know that whenever oxygen and hydrogen are chemically blended together water is always the outcome, or that the presence of the Sun is the sole and certain cause of the life on earth.

Or, is destiny the will of God, the cause of all causes, whose will is preordained in form of everything. We might be free to some extent, but never out of His will.

We see that the more highly developed are the human systems the less likely it is for them to contain elements of uncertainty. In highly developed societies, for instance, people are more likely to live well-structured lives with all protocols, procedures, methods, measures and schedules of operation well implemented for them to ensure a certain degree of quality in life.

In short, is destiny the rule of a godless universe that we should investigate? Or is it the Will of God that we should seek and then faithfully accept?

Here's how I understand it-Kierkegaard figured free will was essential to Christianity. Existentialism does not presume a creator so it's the only philosophical stance that allows for true free will. Therefore existentialism is essential to Christianity.

You’re a judge in the county Divorce Court. The Wife of Bath has come before you wanting a divorce from her sixth husband. She cites that he is stingy and not very energetic when she turns out the lights. Having read her story, what is your argument to grant or refuse her petition?

Should I be less grateful; simply more amused?
I don't know... I feel as though it could be truth...
Feeling winds gently blow, mind grows quickly.
My heart not feeling all so sure though; can it be protected?
I'm extremely proud to be an American; my past is respected.
If I'm called upon I'd know I'd show. My feet aren't rooted.
Would my strategems be useful; would I be recruited?
I would never let my home team down. I'd help as best I can.
After all, I'm of a military fam...I had wished to be a soldier.
And then, my dear friends I surely did get older.
I love you so much I can hardly speak of my love!
You being angels I know, I can love and respect.
My heart and mind be with you all day. Oh may...
May I please, say I love you so?

think about it, time passes on no matter what we think, problems arise and are conquered (or at least learnt from), relationships come and go, life goes on. in the midst of this we're all trying to find meaning, some defining purpose. is the need for meaning illusionary? do we really need to know why we're here, what we're doing, for a happy, productive, mentally satisfying life? or is it not the meaning itself, but the process of questioning that is required? how much of it is meaningless? how much is needed? why have we convinced ourselves this notion is important at all? is anything significant going to happen if we don't know-- if we never know?

This is a class of error called Ad Hominium.
An ad hominem argument, also known as argumentum ad hominem (Latin: "argument to the man", "argument against the man") consists of replying to an argument or factual claim by attacking or appealing to a characteristic or belief of the person making the argument or claim, rather than by addressing the substance of the argument or producing evidence against the claim. The process of proving or disproving the claim is thereby subverted, and the argumentum ad hominem works to change the subject.
