what a wonderful world it would be if everybody took their own problem and found the answer to it and spent the rest of their life helping people with the same problem in their spare time. my problems are the same or similar to your problems. i'll share my answers with you and you share your answers with someone else and we'll all have an easier time.

Yes.I do appreciate the opportunity to be of service to others.It seems to justify my existence.Is that a healthy attitude?Do we have to be apologetic about our existence?

I'd propose this to you:
wouldn't it be a wonderful world if everybody took their own problems and sought the answers themselves? if everyone took responsibility for their own problems and worked towards an answer instead of relying upon others?

if this is true, why not exist this way?

Not at all. I would prefer no one needed "service," but being human we all need it sometimes. So when the "opportunity" happens to me, I help while wishing help was not necessary.
