Letting my dad tell me what not to major in while I was in college... He was dead worried about my finding a job with an English Lit major, and I wanted to make him happy. I did Business Admin with a minor in Accounting, which I don't hate -- but I don't love it either.
I'm 39, with a family, and now it's really not feasible for me to go back to school, get another degree, and move everybody to NYC to work in publishing, which is what I had wanted to do.
Don't compromise on your dreams!

Saying "I do" at such a young age. Should have waited and enjoyed being me first. No chance now with the husband I have. Divorce is only option and will hurt the kids. Kids were the only good part.

I would stay in school. I spent a long time trying to get my education on my own, at night, after working all day and trying to care for a family! Be smart and take advantage of what was offered to me, free and cared for, by my parents!

Many think they would wanna take somthing back but honestly, i wouldnt take ANYTHING back., i think things happen for a reason and if we went back to change them the chain reaction they created with other things would change too.

I would take back the night I left my fathers bedside when he was dying. I had been sitting with him every night for weeks, he begged me to be with him. One night my husband came in and pulled me by my hair and made me go home, he told me I was stupid to sit with him every night when I didn't know he was going to die. When we got home my phone rang, it was my mom telling me my father had died. I rushed to the hospital in time before they closed his eyes but to this day I can never forgive myself for leaving him and wondering what he thought before he died about me not being there.
What I would change is that I would have struggled more with my husband, hit him in the head with something, anything and knock him out, chain myself to my dads bed, anything just to have been there for him.
