I think Science and religion can stregthen each other, for example, Evolution theory and creation theory can go hand in hand. While Christian accounts give the outline of how God created the world, science tells exactly how it was done.

"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein.

Okay so there are these auditions for the school play in January and I am having a difficult time finding a song...My friend suggested The Man In The Moon from the musical Mame. I looked everywhere for a video or a song clip and can't find anything. So my ? is does anyone know where i can find a FREE video or song clip or have a good song for an Alto female? The requirements are it has to be from a musical and we need accompaniment or we can go a Capella. I would really prefer accompaniment so if you have a song that has accompaniment with it that's be great. Thanks!!!1

A couple of people I know have said to me that when you apologise to somebody you should not end the apology with 'but'.

e.g. "Sorry I shouted at you but you were getting on my nerves".

I'm eager to unearth the ethic that underpins this maxim. If you feel that the other person must bare some responsibility for your actions, how ought one to frame ones apology?

I am trying to answer review questions for my final exam in philosophy. I am terrible at this subject but its a core class I have to have.. Our exam is over nietzsche beyond good and evil. our test is monday and we have about 50 questions to answer and I can't even comprehend this book. I don't think I have ever read anything quite confusing before. I hate to inconvience anyone but is there someone who would not mind helping me?? i have looked on the internet for resources for each section but I can't find any. I got the cliff notes but they aren't helping because they only do a summary over each chapter and there are questions that the summary doesn't cover. Gosh I am freaking out. This is so difficult for me. Please someone help me in any way. I suck at this subject

i really like the idea in this poem, but it is kind of sucky. thanks for any suggestions.

I am Unconfident
A dune of sand
Changing with the slightest breeze
Having no shape of my own

I am Ordinary
A mass of plain dirt
The elements shape me to their will
Only occasionally hitting steady rock

I am Thinker
A sheet of clay
Once soft and malleable
Now hardened to rock

I am Me
A block of stone
Never moving, never changing
No matter the pressure

And I am Revolutionary
A mountain of rock and ice
The glacier, melting and freezing as the elements command
But with a heart of granite

I know how to blend in, be who they are
Standing out just enough to noticed
Then gradually I reveal who I really am
They follow like sheep

I tell Unconfident who to be
Create the mold for Ordinary
Make the initial cuts in Thinker
And do my best to break down Me

I am Gandhi, Galileo, Napoleon, Dr. King
I change your world into mine

*****
Winter’s Way

Icy slabs of concrete make every step a study
A thoughtful plan of placement and of stride
The fall, always regarded, and the catching
There’s much more to be broken than your pride

You glance around for soft spots
Or hope to find a thoughtful patch of sand
Winter’s brittle body, endless graying
Like the longing of an ungloved frozen hand

The pathway is hardest in this final season
Time moves slipping down the frigid glass
You see the vapors chilling condensation
And wish you’d known this future in your past

Fleeting Memories

I wake up, slip on my shoes
Eat breakfast, watch the news
Things are dull, things are sad
No more reasons to be glad
A normal day in the life we live
I need something more to give
Slip in the car, I need to get away
There’s nothing more to say
It’s hard to pretend there’s nothing wrong
I’ve been pretending for far too long
The notes of life have skipped a beat
I’m moving like I’ve got two left feet
Just hold me, say things will be alright
Maybe someday we can find the light
Like the ocean and the sand
We walk hand in hand

.....Star Journeys: Morendo...Yet, Reincarnation

Know that we will meet, before I leave...
In the way of wolves...
Chilling voices through canyons'
Twilight...
Full moon silhouettes,
Frost-puffed, 'I am here.'

We will meet, before I leave...
In the way of eagles...
Winging tumbles through sky
Theaters...
Weaving cloud nests,
Mate-calling, 'I am here.'

Before I leave...
In the way of children...
Giggling echoes webbing
Playgrounds...
Swinging high...low,
Up...return...
Once more, 'I am here.'

The reality currently is military men/women/and the folks there on contract, are being charged for murder during this Iraq war. It matters not to me where they are when the 'murder' occurs someone apparently has to pay. I have been watching the tv program '24' long before the Iraq war (and have been alive thru a few others-none of which were imprisoned for murder without evidence). Whoever the writers are they have some experience in reality. In the episode where Jack Bauer had to cut off a man's head to infiltrate an organzation plotting to do unspeakable things-he even became an addict. I saw Hamburger Hill, Rocky (in which one man was being tracked to the death by a sheriff, who was sorely fooled) we have men who are trained to do these things but never tell. I don't condone murdering your pregnant wife because she has become an encumberance or conspiring with a school boy to kill your husband for money. War is ugly and bloody and this world is not the one I was born in.

I know that now we calll it BC, for instance BC 431. But what was the reference before Jesus came, because at that time they obviously had no idea that he would be born on the Earth 431 years later. Does anyone know how they counted years?
