i have a poem. i wrote it by myself. and everyone has liked it and incourged me to put it in the poetry contest. and i have not tried any poetry contest online beacuse i don't really believe them . Beacause i think that they might take my poetry and write their name on it. SO PleasE me help out and tell me about any poetry contest. if u know about it.

Probably almost any other than at Poetry.com; Unless you buy into there schemes.
Whatever can become public domain; will be; especially given the WWW, and it's billions of connections.
You might consider THEFT common, in a silly; immature sense; Neener, neener, I can write anything better than you can; all I need do is change a few words.
That was a dramatization, with no offense meant.
Certainly you should express what you feel; primarily because it's YOU. Sharing it is certainly valid, but even works copywritten are ripped off.
I've been a writer for most of my life and I gotta tell ya; if I wanted more than a cupboard stocked with Peanut butter and a regrig, with more than jelly and milk; it wasn't strictly going to depend on poetry income, or ego/accolades.
