CAN ANYONE Help me with philosophy?
I'm doing philosophy essay about: Hume's view on causation. I don't know what to talk about in my essay. I'm lost. Can anyone please give me ideas on what I should talk about, what should I include.
Please... I will appreciate. Thank you, and I will also give 10 points.

Is your essay a couple pages, or some 20+ page behemoth? If the latter, then you're probably screwed if you don't know much Hume. If it's just a few pages, you could probably get the basics (which is just what you'd be writing about) from the web & your local library.

Start with a Google search on Hume; his Wiki entry should be included in your reading. Also, check out your local libraries (public & school/university) for "Hume in 90 Minutes" by Paul Strathern, available in book or audiobook.

Hope this helps.

The first answer is great. I will add an opinion: Hume screwed up many people with his skepticism. He said we can see this do that, and we can see what appears to be a result; but we cannot see the "cause," the thing that made the other thing happen. So how can you say that the first thing "caused" the second thing if you can't see it?
This has led to the denial of many important things that could save some of mankind. For example, who was the African leader who said it could not be proved the HIV virus "caused" AIDS and so he made it illegal in his country to connect the two together?
That is what Hume did.
