I was discussing America with a friend and their international activity thoughout history and we cant think of a single posative thing. Its all been Cold war, Nuking Japan twice when it wasnt nessicarry, their lack of involvement in WW2 only then to come in at the end and claim themselves as heros, their current quest to claim oil from middle eastern countries. Etc, etc.
Of corse my American friend now has lost most his faith in his country and I need some GOOD things america has done internationally to cheer him up.

I'm still in high school and I really love to act but I haven't really had a chance to do any. Right now, the school I go to doesn't have a drama program so that is out of the question. i have a 7.1megapixel camera, but everytime i look at the pictures i take them seem blurry/blotchy/etc...
i set my camera on high quality pictures too...

I Entered high school and I am told to get a better clarinet and mouthpiece.
What do you recommend?
I currently have a Bundy Bb Clarinet, Use RICO 3 strenght Reeds. and have a mouth piece purchased off the shelf only cost 10 bucks.. :(

I am looking at the Buffet B12 What do you think? Im also looking at a Vancover B45 Mouthpiece what do you think?

A little on the budget sized but not TOO restricted.

I am neither Turkish nor Armenian (I am Irish-American and a Marxist), but I have a recently discovered daughter born in, and living in, Istanbul; born to a Turkish woman with whom I had a romance in San Francisco 25 years ago, who returned to Turkey without telling me that she was pregnant.
Preparing to meet her next year, I have been studying Turkish history, culture, and learning the language. I believe that there really was a genocide against the Armenians, but I have also found some evidence that there were atrocities against Turkish civilians committed by Armenian insurgents provoked by the Western empires, who wanted to speed the destruction of the Ottoman empire. Can anybody supply me with IMPARTIAL, UNBIASED sources (print or online) of information on the subject of Armenian atrocities against Turkish civilians? No Wikipedia, which is mostly krap!

Okay. I'm asking for an acoustic guitar for Christmas (or for my parents to rent one so i can try it out). I know how to read music very well, i took piano lessons for 5 years. BUT.... I've never played the guitar before.

I'm kind of trying to do this independently, without taking lessons. So does anyone have any pointers as to how to teach myself? Or any self-teaching books you can recommend? All help is appreciated!

I think that J.K. Rowling's ending of Harry Potter should've ended with a big BANG! I mean come on, she only told us what happened to Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville. She didn't even tell us what their jobs were! What do you think?

I have been approached to be a manager and run a group of student painters. The downside is that there are a lot of costs, responsibilities, and student painters are... well, students. Should I invest 6 months and over a thousand bucks to potentially get some good management experience?

I like Dr. Frederick K.C. Price of the Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles California. However, I have noticed that no matter what his message is, the mention of money is inescapable coming from the lips of Dr. Price. For example, he talks about FAITH or PRAYER and not even 15 minutes have passed in his message without mentioning money.

Then we have the pretty boy JOEL OSTEEN. I call him the pastor of love. His messages are about positive thinking and Christian psychology (whatever that is) but not about the true nature of the gospel. It's okay to be positive but Osteen NEVER, I mean NEVER tells it like it is. Yes, God is love and loves everyone but God is also a God of justice and hates sin and cannot allow sin to enter heaven. Why doesn't Osteen ever mention what happens to people who die outside of the family of God? Jesus spoke more about hell than heaven but Osteen (and many like him) have decided they do not want to hurt feelings and so they skip certain issues.
