i play the guitar, i'm decent... and i sing... i do country and southern rock... i'm a freshman in college... everybody that hears me sing says i need to go play the bars or something... problem is, i don't have a band, or equipment... don't know where to start... any help

My mum wants to buy a series of books for my nephew who's 3. She wants somethinhg that maybe she could give him one a month and classic, she thinks Beatrix Potter is too girly (and I think he has them). She's looking for maybe abriged verions of classics like Peter Pan, Black Beauty, even Dicknes that he can grow up with and learne to read on his own eventualy. Does anyone have any ideas?

According to his autobiography, he did not give them any names and just told the FBI usless crap, which the weathermen told him was ok to do. Additionally, I have not been able to find any names on who was arrested because of Timothy Learys talks with the FBI. Yet, there are plenty of websites that say Leary is a rat. Can someone clear this up for me?

Can someone suggest to me some EASY to read, but very well written books on science. I know nothing about the topic really. But would like to be more educated on it. Now I don't mean anything like " The God Delusion" or stuff like that. Please no! I'm not lookin' for agendas!

Just a good, easy to read, but well written infomative books on the history of how we got here from a scienfic stand point.
