Out of all of history, if you could be the ruler of a kingdom or empire, then what would it be? Which location and time would you be happiest in?

I would want to be the Empress of China during the Ming Dynasty which is often referred to as China's Golden Age. I would improve the lot of the peasants.

Well, now that is a really good question and i have more than one answer.
Part one: No, I would not be a good ruler, and I am wise enough to know that. First of all, politics are for politicians, not the masses, and being Empress of the World, as seductive as it sounds is just WAY too much responsibility for me and much to short lived a career.
But I would be very happy as a peasant or farmer in the middle ages (1300 C.E - 1500 C.E) or in the untamed West (U.S., for our UK friends.)

He reigned during the empires last years of its true glory. Following him, all the emperors were plagued by foreign invasions and overall political and economic decline, until its ultimate collapse around 412 A.D.

I would rule the Roman Empire as one of the greatest ceasars....i would start my ruling power by giving free schools but i would twist there knowledge so they thought that i was like a roman god....and i would have total power.......kinda like north korea right now......propaganda dude
