Blurry: camera not on autofocus; shutter speed too low to prevent shake and subject blur

Blotchy: overexposed highlights, dust reflections in flash pix

Fuzzy: see blurry

A good pace to start would be reading the user manual and a book on basic photography.

Hope this helps.

When all else fails, READ & STUDY the Owner's Manual. It wasn't packed in the box as filler material - it is in there so you can learn to use your camera.

Rhetorical question: Why, WHY, do people think that all they need do is turn the camera on, point it at something, click the shutter, and they'll have good pictures?
