im a girl alto singer.
and im having a hard time finding the right song to sing for auditions.
auditions are november 17th so i have very little time to prepare. But the requirments are it has to be a song from a musical and i wanted to do "hold me tight" from the musical movie "across the universe" but when i suggested it to her she said i could do it but it wouldn't be a good choice so....thats where i am right now.

If you know any songs that would a good choice to sing please post the name of the song and the musical it is from.

Thanks so much

this was what we had to write about. by the way, i've only read up to the 5th chapter.

based on what you know so far, explain how Frankenstein may be considered the "modern prometheus." support your discussion with specifics from the myth. Finally who or what might become another prometheus in today's society? Explain

The fact that Frankenstein is so eager to learn and will learn gives reason to why he is such a threat to obtaining the title of the “Modern Prometheus.” In the myth, Prometheus gives
the people fire; and they relish in it, making it apart of their life’s activities. It was useful and appreciated, and with the fire, they became civilized but dangerous as well. This relates to Frankenstein, for he animates lifeless matter and paves the path that opens eyes to see that such things are possible. Just as in the myth, where people started to build, making tools, shelters, and much more, Frankenstein presented the same opportunity for people by creating his monster. After this act, it is expected that people will start to experiment and produce any number of new things, threatening the contented safety that they had. During the Enlightenment times, it was not unforeseen how many discoveries people could make, but with all the fresh knowledge, and Frankenstein’s astonishing creation, people could sense their ability and add new concepts and inventions to their lives.
As for today’s society, scientists, astronomers and inventors, along with other people in those general fields could definitely be considered as providers of possible danger, but yet also potential beneficial ideas and inventions to our world. These professionals spend their days striving to discover new aspects of the world and even other worlds. But because of this and all their discoveries, people have made many useful, positive creations, but yet also dangerous ones, such as weapons and harmful substances. With all these new inventions and discoveries, we as a society have not only led ourselves to helping sickness and building communities to reside in, but also war and mutilation. Prometheus guided people to believing that they can do anything with the right material; and the proof of all our history, shows how our society’s mindset isn’t very different.

I saw a picture in a history book of an old newspaper and they spelled Pennsylvania "Pennfylvania" and just "juft", said "faid", etc. but they still use words like Saturday and Books and State, and they even spell congress "congrefs"! I don't understand it at all, when did they use "s" and when did they use "f"?

I laugh at the very concept of it unless you remember your former life and the time you were in the afterlife to make the decision.

Come on now, if you lived a former life, you would remember it or it obviously never happened. Your former life, your time in Heaven to decide to live a new life, you would REMEMBER that important decision and at least SOME of your former life.
