I need a name that's not so common, but it's normal. Don't give me anything ancient or "unique".

The character is a he, by the way, he's a nerdy type of kid. But don't think the taped glasses, pimpled, crouched over, clumsy and gauche type of nerd. He can stand perfectly fine and he has brunette hair, that isn't pasted to his head. He's tall and lean. Not at all awkward, but not the type to socialize with people outside of his "clique"--yeah, the chess club nerds. He does have glasses, but they're not taped.

He's patient and calm and very intelligent.

To give you an idea of what type name I'm looking for, here are some ideas: Lucas, Gabrielle, Eric, William, George, Francis, Kyle, Johnathon, and Thomas. I want more choices though.

Thank you to anyone who answers.

i have two good friends that i'm painting things for for christmas..
i'm stuck as to what i like best though (i have planned them out in my computer graphics program as a guide)

the jewels dangling under the canvas (go to both links)

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/6011/54391671vo0.jpg

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5240/97837076no3.jpg

or the jewels set on top of the canvas

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/2180/46709178og0.jpg

http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/1141/45563231sg8.jpg

the jewles would be hung by small hooks on the sides of the canvases (which are like an inch think canvas sides)

keep in mind that this is just a quick slap together of things just to get the initial look. i copy and pasted a bunch of stuff like the cross and crown and fleur de lis onto the backgrounds that i colored in photoshop.
anyway
just tell me which ones you like
1 2 3 or 4
and as for 1 and 3
which type of shape do you like (the strings are different on each)

When an audition notice says:

2 females, ages 20-30

do they mean that the females have to be between that age...or they have to look that age?

Theists have an easy way of answering the problem of free will by saying they just "have it" because a god gave it to them. And they don't have to explain it scientifically because with "faith" you dont have to really think about anything.
How is free will explained scientifically from an atheist who also believes in free will?
From what i've gathered everything is part of a determistic system. Even human thought. However an illusion of free will is experienced due to the generation of infinite behaviour from the interaction of finite-deterministic set of rules and parameters. Thus the unpredictability of the emerging behaviour from deterministic processes leads to a perception of free will, even though free will as an ontological entity does not exist.
"At any moment I can do what I want, but I cannot want what I want most"
-Schopenhauer

How do you view free will given the above?

Ok, so once my drama teacher printed a list off the internet of different kinds of charcaters and their personalities and told us to write a soap opera. It wasn't people from an already existing soap opera, just character discription. If anyone knows where I can find anything like that, help!

do you consider whether or not it has philosophical significance of any sort? "What is the meaning of life" does have significance, but not when asked 71,000+ times. Do you ever use Search for Question, or look at the similar questions that pop up under yours as you type? Do you have the slightest idea what epistemology is, or metaphysics? Do you know how to form a proper propsition and a proper syllogism, let alone using good grammar and syntax?

I do, and I wish you would. If you need help forming a proper philosophical question, email me.
