The first answer is there to throw you off base. Priapus, the Greek God of male fertility, is a few million years after that.

I would say that you don't find any clues about special ceremonies, art, etc.,

H. erectus lived about 230,000-500,000 years ago, so no real evidence of art that early in the historic record. are you thinking of the cave paintings in Southern france? Lascaux dates from really late in the historic record at about 40,000 years ago.

Anyhow, there is evidence of fire use at the Zhoukoudian site near Beijing, China. They did use Oldowan tools, so that might be something that you can look into. Their anatomy was similar, but they probably could not have created all the same speeech sounds that we make.
