*****

The drums are silent
The storm clouds passing
And there is quiet in the night

No Tom-Tom Calling
No Russian waters
Nothing from Paris or Berlin

Out on the prairie
Wheat shocks drying
Waiting for an icy reception

The scarecrow’s motion
Comes from the breezes
Of those gliding by the field

*****

We have our ideal partners, ideal food, ideal weather, ideal flower, and even ideal pets, then why not ideal box? After all they too are the entities in this world in our life serving our purposes or need or delights whatever, ideally existing in your imagination.
A simple box may be, or somewhat more specific and ornate one … how do see it? It is there. Not necessarily about its contents though, but it is entirely up to you.

and if you want to peep into mine ... here it is. But tell me about your first:

Hi!
I'm just wondering an easy way to reduce the friction on the bottom of men's dress shoes. I have dress shoes with rubber soles and I want to use them for ballroom dancing.
I'm just trying to get out of buying expensive ballroom dance shoes...
Thanks!

I was just reading a story about the thinning pack ice in the Arctic, and it got me to wondering, has anyone (besides Santa) ever wintered over at the North Pole? I remember reading a story a few years ago about one explorer who was going to trek southward from the North Pole to Norway, I think, in the winter, when the Arctic ice would be relatively frozen over, but does anyone know if anyone has ever chilled out at the pole all winter?
